Caring for an older, ill or disabled person can take a lot of time and energy. For people who work or have other family obligations, caregiving can be very challenging. Find your balance.

No One Can Do It ALL.

With homecare, if you are working, taking care of a family and trying to provide care for an aging, ill or disabled adult, you may feel tugged in different directions. You may not be able to give 100 percent everywhere. This is a time when you will have to make hard choices. Be gentle with yourself. No one can do it all. You might look at assisted living, nursing homes or home care as options to assist you in sharing yourself.

Set Priorities.

Make a list of your personal, caregiving, family and work obligations. Let go of less important commitments wherever you can. It is important to put personal needs first. You cannot care for another person if you are not healthy. Caregiving is a challenge.
